How to choose the right snow removal tarp
Check the finished size against what you need to cover and pick the material: vinyl for waterproof toughness, canvas for breathability, mesh for shade and airflow, poly for low cost.
Specifications explained
- Capacity: 10,000 lbs — the rated load for this item in the use it is designed for.
- Material: 26 oz. Heavy Duty Vinyl — PVC-coated (vinyl) fabric is waterproof, UV-resistant and easy to clean.
Before you buy
- Measure load length, width and height before choosing a size.
- Confirm the drop reaches the deck so the tarp can be strapped at the D-rings.
- Count the straps or bungees you need — one per D-ring is a good rule.
Safety and care
- Tie down at every grommet in wind.
- Avoid sharp edges or pad them.
- Store dry to prevent mildew.
To complete your setup, many buyers also look at bungee straps, corner & edge protectors and ratchet tie down straps — see the suggestions below.
