How to choose the right v bridle tow strap
Choose a recovery strap rated well above the stuck vehicle’s weight. Recovery straps stretch to absorb energy; tow straps do not.
Specifications explained
- Working load limit (WLL): 3,333 lbs — the maximum load the item is rated to carry in normal service. For cargo securement, the WLLs of all tie-downs on a load must add up to at least half the cargo weight (FMCSA 49 CFR 393.106).
- Breaking strength: 10,000 lbs — the force at which the item fails in testing. It is not a working rating — always plan with the WLL, which is set well below breaking strength.
- Strap width: 2 Inch — wider webbing generally carries a higher rating and spreads pressure over more of the load.
Before you buy
- Confirm the size or option matches your equipment.
- Check the rated capacity against your heaviest load.
- Compare the full option table above before clicking through.
Safety and care
- Attach only to rated recovery points — never to tow balls.
- Keep bystanders well clear during a recovery pull.
- Use a strap dampener and retire damaged straps.
