How to choose the right 1″ ratchet & accessorie
Match the hook to the chain size and grade, and check the throat opening fits your fittings. Grab hooks hold a chain link; slip and clevis hooks suit other hardware.

- Working load limit (WLL): 1,667 lbs — the maximum load the item is rated to carry in normal service. For cargo securement, the WLLs of all tie-downs on a load must add up to at least half the cargo weight (FMCSA 49 CFR 393.106).
- Breaking strength: 5,000 Lbs — the force at which the item fails in testing. It is not a working rating — always plan with the WLL, which is set well below breaking strength.
- End fitting: S-Hook w/ Latch — the hardware at the end of the strap or chain. Match it to your anchor points — flat hooks for flatbed rub rails, wire or snap hooks for D-rings, grab hooks for chain, E-track fittings for E-track.
- Strap width: 1-1/2 Inch — wider webbing generally carries a higher rating and spreads pressure over more of the load.
- Length: 16 Feet — make sure the strap reaches over the load and back to the anchor with enough tail to tension properly.
- Material: Polyester — Polyester webbing has low stretch, holds tension well and resists UV and moisture — the standard for tie-down and lifting straps.
