How buying works
Global Cargo Control lists products and prices to help you compare. Use the buy button to open the product on the retailer’s website, choose your exact option, and check out there — the retailer ships and supports your order. Prices shown in US dollars were last checked on November 7, 2026; the final price may vary.
Buying a kit or multi-pack means the pieces are matched to each other and usually costs less than buying each part separately. Check the contents against what you already own so you do not pay for duplicates.
How to choose the right severe duty tie-down
Pick the width and rating first: add up the WLL of every strap so the total is at least half the cargo weight, then choose an end fitting that matches your anchor points. Use edge protectors where webbing crosses sharp corners.
Specifications explained
- Working load limit (WLL): 6,670 lbs — the maximum load the item is rated to carry in normal service. For cargo securement, the WLLs of all tie-downs on a load must add up to at least half the cargo weight (FMCSA 49 CFR 393.106).
- End fitting: Flat Hook — the hardware at the end of the strap or chain. Match it to your anchor points — flat hooks for flatbed rub rails, wire or snap hooks for D-rings, grab hooks for chain, E-track fittings for E-track.
- Strap width: 4 Inch — wider webbing generally carries a higher rating and spreads pressure over more of the load.
- Length: 30 Feet — make sure the strap reaches over the load and back to the anchor with enough tail to tension properly.
Before you buy
- Add up the working load limits of all tie-downs against the cargo weight.
- Check that the end fitting matches the anchor points on your trailer.
- Make sure the length reaches over the load with tail left to tension.
Safety and care
- Inspect webbing before each use and retire straps with cuts, burns, melted fibres or damaged hardware.
- Keep the ratchet handle closed and locked after tensioning, and re-check tension at your first stop.
- Never exceed the working load limit printed on the tag.
